Luck of the Draw
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008Every tournament I have ever been involved with includes the luck of the draw.
My recent example, three pools of four teams. One pool had three of the top four teams in it, while the other two pools included one group with none of the top teams, and one with a clearly better team. As you can imagine the team with the easy draw coasted through their bracket, while the other top teams beat each other up, leaving a couple of battered teams, a good team that had hardly broken a sweat, and an overmatched team.
The team with the easy bracket won, as would any of the top four teams with that draw.
